Good engineering tends to become invisible because success quietly turns into expectation. A platform meeting revealed this clearly: an external expert recognized years of thoughtful decisions within an hour, yet internal leadership still had doubts. The gap was not technical understanding but missing context. Building great systems is only half the job. Making the reasoning behind them visible to decision makers is the other half.
